The Physical Therapy Assistant provides established treatments and modalities under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. They are responsible for maintaining a high degree of patient care in accordance with established policies.
Candidates must hold a current state license and CPR certification. Experience in long-term acute care and rehabilitation is preferred.
Under direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for providing established physical therapy treatments and modalities in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of patient care at all times.
Must hold a current state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the Board of Physical Therapy Long term acute care and rehabilitation experience is preferred; Maintain current CPR Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills. Basic computer skills with minimal guidance PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical: Walking - up to 75% Standing - up to 75% Kneeling - up to 75% Sitting - up to 25% Pushing - up to 50% Bending - up to 75% Squatting - up to 50% Pulling - up to 50% Reaching - up to 25% Lifting - up to 100lbs Wrist/Finger Movements - up to 90% Mental: Stress Level: Moderate CERTIFICATIONS: CPR Certification
