About the role

The Surgical Technologist will join the Surgical Services Unit to provide support during surgical procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile environment and assisting the surgical team during day shifts and occasional call time.

Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is currently seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our friendly, hard-working team for the following shifts: Surgical Services Unit, Full Time, Days, occasional call time. Pay rate starts at $21.67/hr to $30.26/hr based on experience. If on call, must be able to make it to the hospital within 1 hour.

Who We Are

HVCH is a 25-bed critical access hospital (CAH) with a full-service Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and Surgical Services, as well as many Outpatient Clinics and Services, as well as a Rural Health Clinic providing Family and Pediatric care services. In the fall of 2023, we partnered with the Logan-Hocking School District, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Hopewell Health and others to build and open the Chieftain School Based Health Clinic to provide greater care to the students in our community. We have over 350 employees who serve the residents and visitors of rural Logan, Ohio. We are nestled in the heart of the beautiful Hocking Hills Region in southeastern Ohio. We are affiliated with OSU Wexner Medical Center and part of the Ohio State Health Network. We are rated 4/5 on Indeed by our current and past employees, rank in the top 20% in Wellbeing Scores, and we have excellent patient satisfaction scores: we are ranked 10th out of 134 Ohio hospitals!

Requirements

Preferred candidates have an associate degree and completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program. At least one year of experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
