Performs patient care and assists physicians or Advanced Practice Providers during examinations and procedures in an ambulatory setting. Responsibilities include gathering patient data, administering medications, and managing clinical documentation and scheduling.
Requires a high school diploma and completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program or one year of applicable experience. Must maintain current BLS certification and a valid certification from a recognized agency such as NHA, AAMA, AMCA, NCCT, NAHP, or AMT.
Performs patient care under the direction ofthe physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an ambulatory setting.
