Job Summary and Responsibilities Performs a variety of tasks in support of the daily workflow of the pharmacy to include the appropriatedistribution of medications in compliance with state and federal laws and in accordance with CSH policies andprocedures.
Under the supervision of a pharmacist, technicians are accountable for 1) preparing and dispensingprescribed medications for patients, 2) performing compounding of intravenous medications, 3) assisting inmanaging inventory, 4) performing charging and crediting functions for medications associated with drugdistribution processes, and 5) performing routine clerical/administrative tasks.Incumbents are also accountable for: maintaining a clean and safe environment; using appropriate aseptictechnique; handling controlled substances appropriately; completing all educational modules; attending regularstaff meetings; keeping abreast of departmental changes/current CSH policy and procedures and The JointCommission requirements.
Job Requirements Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED Required Licensure and Certifications Registered Pharmacy Tech in the state of ND; Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training Shall possess the personal characteristics necessary for successfully fulfilling his/her responsibilities.
