Candidates must be proficient in aseptic techniques and possess the physical ability to stand and move patients in a high-stress environment. Strong judgment, professional communication, and the ability to anticipate a surgeon's needs are essential.
Description The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing direct assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures and ensuring the highest standards of aseptic technique and sterilization. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment while also supporting clinic patient care needs as required.
Position Requirements Physical and mental ability to walk, stand, push, and pull; may be required to assist with moving patients. Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and other hazardous materials; personal protective equipment must be used as needed. Thorough knowledge of operating room technique. Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and effective communication skills. Ability to assess priorities, maintain a professional image, and manage periods of stress. Position Specifications Must be proficient in aseptic technique. Ability to anticipate surgeon’s needs and respond accordingly. High degree of judgment, initiative, and careful attention to instructions. Ability to act efficiently, effectively, and rationally in emergencies. Cooperative, supportive, and professional interaction with other surgical team members. Awareness of the need for discretion and ethical judgment. Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
