Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed PT, implementing treatment plans and prescribed interventions.
• Assist with patient assessments, monitor progress, and document responses to therapy to support plan adjustments.
• Guide and supervise patients through therapeutic exercises, modalities, and activities to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensure safety and proper alignment of treatment equipment, and communicate patient status with the supervising PT and care team.
• Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation staff to coordinate care, ensure continuity, and support discharge planning.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maine
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred - 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing or short-term rehabilitation setting preferred
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility environment and support a travel assignment
