The Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive patient care, including evaluations, treatment planning, and goal setting. They are responsible for documenting progress, educating staff and families, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to optimize functional outcomes.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy curriculum with a current, active, and unencumbered license. CPR certification is required, and experience in long-term care is preferred.

Reports to: Director of Rehabilitation
The Occupational Therapist role provides and directs all aspects of quality patient care, including evaluation and treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education and documentation according to organizations guidelines, professional standards and community needs. Serves as a patient and rehabilitation advocate for current prospective patients, to all internal and external customers. Participates in quality assurance and customer service activities.
Graduate of an approved curriculum in Occupational Therapy.
Is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
Working knowledge of Medicare and other payor sources.
Full knowledge of resident’s rights.
Current, active license as Occupational Therapist, and is able to practice unencumbered.
CPR Certification, as required for license renewal.
Work Experience: Experience in long term care preferred
Able to work on multiple tasks at the same time.
