The APP provides comprehensive pediatric medical evaluations, treatments, and patient care management under physician supervision. Responsibilities include documenting patient histories, ordering tests, prescribing medications, and educating families on disease management.
Candidates must hold a current North Carolina PA or NP license, a DEA certificate, and be board certified if applicable. Prior pediatric experience is strongly preferred, though new graduates with relevant clinical experience are considered.
Pediatric APP - Part-Time (Shelby) or Full-Time (Shelby and Nearby Clinics)
The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), under the supervision of the Physician, is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care management. Under a physician’s supervision, the PA/NP is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of medical services, including taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, administering treatments (e.g., suturing, casting and minor surgery), monitoring patients, prescribing medications, assisting physicians, and counseling and educating patients.
Strong preference for prior Pediatric APP experience; open to new grads with other meaningful pediatric clinical experience.
Graduation from an accredited program. Current State of North Carolina PA or NP licensure/certification required. Current DEA certificate required. Board Certification if applicable.
