The provider is responsible for delivering a broad range of medical services, including evaluations, treatments, and patient care management under physician supervision. Key duties include documenting patient histories, ordering tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients and families on disease management.
Candidates must be a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina with a current DEA certificate and graduation from an accredited program. Previous experience in a medical office or FQHC and knowledge of population health for underserved populations are preferred.
The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), under the supervision of the Physician, is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care management. Under a physician’s supervision, the PA/NP is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of medical services, including taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, administering treatments (e.g., suturing, casting and minor surgery), monitoring patients, prescribing medications, assisting physicians, and counseling and educating patients.
Graduation from an accredited program. Current State of North Carolina PA or NP licensure/certification required. Current DEA certificate required. Board Certification if applicable.
