Provides direct patient care to a diverse population using the nursing process in accordance with professional standards. Reports to the Department Director or Manager to ensure quality care delivery.
Requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing and a current state RN license. BCLS certification is mandatory, while BSN, ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications are preferred.
Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
Regular occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.
Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
/Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
