The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services and supports medical providers in delivering quality healthcare to patients. Key duties include administering medications, implementing care plans, and monitoring patients within a behavioral health system.
Candidates must have an ADN or BSN degree and a current Alaska Registered Nurse License. Experience with addiction, mental health diagnoses, and EMR systems is required.

The registered nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing services and supporting medical providers in delivering quality health care to patients and to support the TNR mission. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently and consistently use the nursing process to safely, compassionately, and efficiently care for patients Utilize standard screening tools.
AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Successful graduation from ADN or BSN accredited nursing program Current Alaska Registered Nurse License CPR certified or willing to become certified through an accredited program Experience working with patients who are suffering from addiction, depression, anxiety, and other mental health diagnosis Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) Ability to climb stairs and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population and also the ability to remain professional with both patients and staff Knowledge of alcohol use disorder and substance use disorder and addiction medicine Ability to interact with patients, families and others in an empathetic, respectful and friendly manner Ability to communicate proficiently both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate the ability to respond to situations, crises and emergencies with critical thinking and good judgment Working knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and 42 CFR Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple responsibilities and tasks to completion
