The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical support, including preparing patients for examinations and performing medical tests like EKGs and phlebotomy. They also handle care coordination, clinical documentation, and front office scheduling tasks.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, completion of a qualified Medical Assistant course, and be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with BLS certification. Previous medical office experience is preferred but not required.
The Certified Medical Assistant assists in preparation for patient care, provides care coordination, clinical documentation, and other clinical support functions in a physician practice office setting.
