Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic echocardiography using standard views (2D, M-mode, Doppler) and advanced imaging as appropriate
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, obtain consent, and ensure patient safety and comfort
• Position patients for optimal acoustic windows and monitor hemodynamics as needed
• Optimize image quality, acquire and process studies, document findings, and generate preliminary results for physician review
• Maintain equipment calibration, quality assurance, and infection control protocols; manage supplies and documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent echocardiography experience within Cardiology Services
• Certification: RDCS or CCI; AHA BLS required
• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology; registry eligible or Registered
• Ability to work in a hospital-based imaging environment and participate in a travel assignment
• Current credentialing as required for Echocardiography scope of practice
