The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, and evaluation of care for mothers and newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. This includes performing physical exams, conducting diagnostic procedures, and prescribing necessary interventions and medications.
The candidate must be a licensed medical professional capable of managing maternal and newborn health. The role requires the ability to order laboratory studies and professional consultations.
The licensed medical professional (LMP) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, assisting, and evaluation of antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care of the mother and newborn patient. The LMP performs physical exams, collects and documents data, manages, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations, and prescribes appropriate interventions and medications.
