Overview

• Beebe Healthcare is growing, and our Specialty Surgical Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to support high-quality surgical and orthopedic care across both our Rehoboth Surgical Unit and the Lewes Orthopedic Unit.
• This is a full-time, night shift position, ideal for nurses who bring compassion, teamwork, and strong clinical judgment to every shift and thrive in a collaborative care environment.
• In this flexible, hands-on role, you’ll care for post-surgical and orthopedic patients, complete thorough assessments, implement timely interventions, and collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team.
• You’ll play a key role in supporting safe recovery, patient education, and exceptional outcomes.
• Nurses in this position will be trained and competent to rotate between both units, ensuring seamless, high-quality patient care systemwide.

Responsibilities

• Primary Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered nursing care to post-surgical and orthopedic patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and optimal recovery outcomes.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly communicate changes to the appropriate members of the healthcare team.
• Clinical Judgment & Time Management Prioritize patient care responsibilities effectively using strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and time management skills.
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Documentation & Safety Accurately document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the electronic medical record.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection prevention guidelines, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe care environment.
• Patient & Family Education Educate patients and families on post-operative care, medications, mobility, and recovery expectations.
