The Certified Medical Assistant provides patient care under the direction of a physician or APP in an ambulatory Family Medicine setting. Key duties include gathering patient data, assisting with examinations, administering medications, and managing clinical documentation.
Requires a high school diploma and completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program or one year of verifiable experience. Candidates must hold a current BLS certification and a valid certification from a recognized agency such as NHA, AAMA, or AMT.
