Radiologic Technologist, Hospital

Position Summary

• Park Nicollet Radiology team members partner with providers to ensure that each patient has a safe, caring experience.

• Performs high quality and accurate radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
• Applies knowledge of radiation protection, emergency protocols and procedures.
• Performs tasks to comply with regulatory standards.
• Educates and trains others on the operation of all equipment, procedures, image quality and exposure techniques.

Work Schedule

.8 fte weekdays. On-call, weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry is required and must be maintained.
• Must secure CPR certification within 6 months and continuously maintain.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Problem solving skills and discretion with patient information is also required.
• Computer knowledge or experience.
• The ability to exercise good judgment is important.
• Must exhibit strong interpersonal and team building skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
• Must demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, radiographic positioning, and proper application of radiographic principles.
• Must possess the ability to operate the following pieces of equipment safely and efficiently: modality imaging devices, patient transfer devices, security system, fire alarms, emergency equipment, PC (including e-mail), printer, voice documentation devices, EMR, fax and photocopier.
