The RMA provides direct and indirect care to patients with urgent or emergent health problems. Key duties include assisting physicians with procedures, managing EMR entries, and coordinating prescriptions and triage.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid RMA certification. Additionally, 12 to 18 months of related experience or training is required.
Overview The RMA is responsible for providing direct or indirect care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems; utilizes knowledge of basic Medical Assistant principals, practices and ethics; participates in the organization and management of the physician's practice.
Assist physician in setting up for procedures and exams, revising daily schedules; obtaining charts and charge tickets, locating lab tests and X-ray reports Ensure that patient chart/EMR entries are made accurately and in a timely manner Contact pharmacy to order new and refill prescriptions; notify patient; document appropriately Notify hospital or personnel of physician's orders Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training RMA certification
