The Medical Assistant provides patient care under the supervision of a physician or Advanced Practice Provider in an ambulatory setting. Key duties include gathering patient data, assisting with examinations, and managing clinical documentation and scheduling.
Candidates must be high school graduates with completed Medical Assistant training and a current AHA BLS certification. Certification from a recognized agency (such as CCMA, CMA, or RMA) is required within six months of hire.
