Responsibilities

• Monitor patients using telemetry and advanced monitoring equipment; track vital signs and critical metrics
• Perform regular assessments, recognize subtle changes in patient conditions, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered
• Provide specialized care for patients recovering from surgery, those with cardiac events, vent patients, or stroke patients requiring neuro checks
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the care team to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of nursing care and patient responses

Requirements

• Active RN license in Michigan
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification and ACLS (American Heart Association) certification - 2 years of RN Stepdown/Progressive Care experience (required)
• Telemetry monitoring experience (required)
• Cerner experience (required)
• Ability to work in an inpatient step-down unit setting
• Availability to work night shift as scheduled
