Perform comprehensive patient assessments and post-operative monitoring for patients recovering from general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures. Coordinate interdisciplinary care and maintain timely documentation of medical necessity in patient records.
Requires a current Alabama or compact state RN license and an associate's degree in nursing. Basic Life Support certification is required, while BSN, ACLS, and PALS are preferred.

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus available to well qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12, Days (7p-7a), Rotating Weekends

Our Post‑Surgical Medical–Surgical Unit is a 32‑bed inpatient unit specializing in the care of patients recovering from general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures. The unit also supports medical–surgical overflow as needed. Nurses on this unit typically manage a 1:6 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, providing comprehensive postoperative monitoring, pain management, and coordinated interdisciplinary care.

North Alabama Medical Center’s 24-hour emergency department serves as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in Northwest Alabama.
