Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

• Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
• Start date July 6, 2026 for a 13-week contract.
• Weekly pay $2,082–$2,274, with guaranteed hours at 36 per week.
• Shift is 3x12-hour nights (3:00 PM–3:00 AM) in a hospital setting.
• BSN required with 2+ years ER experience; local or travel candidates welcome.
• Prior contract/travel experience preferred.
• End-of-week (EOW) scheduling requirements apply; RTO requests will be considered but must cover the full 13 weeks of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, patient-centered care to ED patients across a broad acuity range, including rapid assessment and triage.
• Perform timely administration of medications and IV therapies per physician orders; monitor and interpret patient responses.
• Manage frequent changes in patient condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and escalate to physicians or charge staff as needed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (physicians, techs, case managers, social workers) to coordinate timely and effective patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation in the electronic medical record; ensure appropriate monitoring, documentation, and safety practices.
• Adhere to infection prevention, quality improvement, and safety protocols; support patient and family education as appropriate.

Requirements

• Active RN license valid for Pennsylvania (or eligibility to practice in Pennsylvania)
• BSN degree required
• Minimum 2 years ED/ER nursing experience
• Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts with rotation; every-other-weekend duties (EOW) as required
• Prior contract or travel nursing experience preferred
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced ED environment and to adapt to assignment requirements
• RTO requests considered but must cover the full 13-week block
