Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for telemetry-capable med-surg patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Monitor telemetry and respond to rhythm changes; administer medications and procedures per physician orders
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record; update progress and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care; assume charge nurse duties as needed and may serve as a preceptor or committee member
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning; participate in transition of care activities

Requirements

• Current New York RN license (NY license only)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (D/E/N) with Every Other Weekend, holidays, on-call, and callback as needed
• Eligible to work in the listed travel assignment location
