Provide interventional cardiology coverage including inpatient and outpatient services and rounding. Perform specialized procedures such as diagnostic catheterizations, angioplasty, and stent placement while managing beeper call.
Must be Board Eligible and licensed in Alaska with required BLS, ACLS, and ABLS certifications. A completed fellowship in Interventional Cardiology is required.
Provide interventional cardiology coverage approximately 2 weeks per month, ongoing. Manage inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, including rounding and admissions. Perform diagnostic catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional procedures. Participate in beeper call with a 30-minute response time, handling phone consults as needed. Document patient encounters accurately in Cerner and Athena EMR systems.
