Responsibilities

• Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care across the perioperative continuum.
• Coordinate, manage, provide and delegate patient care to support recovery and safety.
• Meet established Standards of Nursing Practice and promote cooperation among the health care team.
• Align with personal accountabilities defined in the Tenet Standards of Conduct (Service, People, Quality, Growth, Cost).
• Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in the perioperative care of patients undergoing a surgical experience.
• Function as RNFA within facility policies and guidelines, exhibiting leadership and professionalism in the expanded role.
• This position is represented by CNA and follows facility-wide perioperative policies.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California (CA) and eligibility to practice in the perioperative setting.
• Perioperative nursing experience or RN First Assistant responsibilities preferred (as described in the job notes).
• Ability to work Days shift; 10-hour blocks; 40 hours per week.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with surgical teams and follow established standards of care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills.
• Must meet the responsibilities and accountabilities outlined for perioperative nursing roles.
