Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for a group of patients during a designated shift, using the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health care team members to coordinate comprehensive nursing care.
• Deliver age-appropriate care as applicable to the unit, including neonatal and broader pediatric to geriatric considerations as needed.
• Incorporate patient and family teaching, discharge planning, and ongoing education into the overall plan of care.
• Delegate appropriate aspects of care to licensed nursing staff within current clinical competence and scope of practice.
• Engage in documentation and care coordination to maintain patient safety and quality outcomes.
• This position is represented by CNA.

Requirements

• Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with current licensure
• Ability to perform nursing care across the patient age spectrum as appropriate to the unit
• Strong clinical judgment and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, team-based setting
• Willingness to work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts
• Effective communication with patients, families, and health care team members
