Travel Registered Nurse NICU Job

hospital-based neonatal intensive care unit. This assignment is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC. The NICU unit provides intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for neonates experiencing lifethreatening conditions, with Level III or Level IV designation per the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for neonates or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines while using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
• Provide intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for neonates with lifethreatening conditions.
• Align care with Level III or Level IV NICU designation as defined by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
• Document patient status, participate in care planning and rounds, and communicate updates to the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Current, active RN license in California.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN).
• NICU experience preferred; ability to work in a high-acuity neonatal setting.
• BLS certification required; NICU-specific certifications (e.g., NRP) preferred.
• Ability to work nights (3x12-hour shifts) and adapt to a fast-paced NICU environment.
• Willingness to participate in a travel assignment in Lodi, CA.
