Responsibilities
Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per physician orders, including echocardiography with Definity contrast and comprehensive vascular studies.
Complete studies efficiently; utilize downtime to assist others and manage workload during high-volume periods.
Ensure exam charges and the late list are checked daily; communicate pending exams and pertinent information to the team.
Assist physicians during radiology procedures and collaborate with other technologists and departments to support patient care.
Maintain supplies and equipment, follow sterilization and infection control policies, and keep the work area clean.
Participate in required in-services and department meetings; adhere to attendance, dress code, and safety policies.
Respond to on-call requests within the required timeframe and arrive in the department within 30 minutes when called in.
Be flexible to assist with procedures in other radiology areas when needed and provide support to colleagues as appropriate.
