The counselor provides counseling, recovery support, and case coordination for individuals with substance use disorders. Key duties include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
A bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field and relevant Kentucky certifications like CADC or CSW are preferred. Candidates should have experience in addiction counseling and knowledge of recovery models and relapse prevention.
Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field preferred. CADC, TCADC, CSW, or other relevant Kentucky certification/licensure preferred. Experience working in substance use treatment or behavioral health settings preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills. Knowledge of recovery models, relapse prevention, and motivational interviewing techniques. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Skills Experience with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs. Crisis intervention and de-escalation skills. Trauma-informed care approach. Familiarity with community recovery resources in Kentucky. Ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
