Provide clinical support in an urgent care setting by assisting physicians with patient exams, treatments, and procedures. Responsibilities include recording vital signs, administering medications, and educating patients on follow-up care.
Must hold a valid and current Iowa licensure or certification as an RN, LPN, or CMA from an accredited program. Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting and familiarity with EPIC are preferred.
We are seeking a compassionate Clinical Staff Member Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This clinical professional will provide support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education. Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR) Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Valid and current licensure/certification in the state of Iowa as one of the following: Registered Nurse (RN) – Iowa Board of Nursing – Active/Unencumbered RN license in state of practice OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Iowa Board of Nursing – Active/Unencumbered LPN license in state of practice OR Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) accredited program plus a certification from one of the following required: National Healthcare Association American Association of Medical Assistants National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant National Association of Health Professionals American Registry of Medical Assistants American Allied Health American Medical Technologists Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred Familiarity with EPIC is a plus!
