$19 - $19 / HOUR
Provide direct geriatric resident care and administer medications under the direction of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include completing daily activities of daily living (ADLs) and implementing therapeutic engagement techniques.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification, and completion of a TMA or LPN/RN medication administration course. CPR certification and basic computer skills are also mandatory.
This position exists for the purpose of providing not only direct resident care with a strong emphasis on geriatrics, but also to administer medications in cooperation with and under the direction of a licensed nurse. Employees will be able to utilize and interpret the resident plan of care, which includes short- and long-term goals. Employees will possess strong communication skills and a strong teamwork approach, which serves to enhance resident care, safety and dignity.
• Long term care experience desired.
