Perform secretarial and clerical duties for the Pre-Anesthesia Area and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit to support nursing staff and providers. Responsibilities include coordinating surgery schedules, preparing surgical documentation, and managing patient flow and supplies.
Requires completion of a Medical Secretary Program, knowledge of medical terminology, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office. Previous experience as a medical secretary and a current BLS certification are preferred.

The Pre-Anesthesia Area/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PAA/PACU) Medical Secretary is a non-licensed health care worker who assists professional nursing caregivers and providers by performing secretarial duties for the PAA/PACU area. The duties of the Medical Secretary include general clerical duties, maintaining an orderly and clean environment, and direct patient care responsibilities as delegated by the professional caregivers.
