Assists providers with patient examinations, diagnostic studies, and clinical procedures in a neurospine practice. Manages administrative duties including chart preparation, rooming patients, and maintaining clinical supplies.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare experience. BLS authorization is required within 90 days, and CMA, RMA, or CCMA certifications are preferred or required depending on the level.

Practice is open M - F 8 am - 5 pm, Per Diem hours Assists providers in the administration of patient care in assigned clinical areas. Assists with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatment, and dressing changes. Performs general administrative duties in accordance with JCAHO, CLIA, NCQA and government standards, as well as company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Performs visit chart preparation activities based on the daily scheduled appointments including diagnostic test results, emergency/urgent care reports, discharge summaries and consult/PCP reports are located in the medical record and accessible to the provider. Performs rooming activities for provider visits according to the documented rooming criteria including chief complaint, allergies, vital signs, medication list review, tobacco history, and documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Obtains and documents age and/or condition-specific measurements accurately including vital signs, height, weight, and pulse oximetry. Obtains, documents and processes specimens using the appropriate collection process and equipment. Processes medication prescription refills per guidelines using telephonic, electronic or print methods. Manages clinical supplies and medication sample areas to ensure that stock is current, stored appropriately, labeled and par levels maintained. Education/Experience/Licensure MA I Education: HS Diploma or GED required and One of the following: Graduate from an accredited MA Program. Graduate from an MA Training Program with externship. 1 year of relevant healthcare experience with formal training (LNA, EMT, Combat Medic). 1 year prior experience as a Medical Assistant.
1 year of relevant healthcare exp. (can include externship), 1 -2 years exp. in a clinical ambulatory care setting preferred.
