The Radiology Technologist provides and oversees quality diagnostic imaging services across various modalities including CT, MRI, and Mammography. They are responsible for maintaining image quality, ensuring patient safety, and assisting with the daily operations of the Diagnostic Imaging department.
Candidates must be registered by the ARRT, hold a current WI Radiographer license, and be BLS certified. Post-primary certification is required, with additional certifications in Mammography, CT, or MRI being preferred.
Description St. Croix Health is looking for a full-time (.9 FTE) Radiology Technologist to join our team! This position is scheduled every Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, with shifts from 7:00 pm – 7:00 am.
The Radiologic Technologist III provides and oversees quality diagnostic imaging and patient care services. Responsible for efficient and effective operation of the daily activities of CT, MRI, Mammography, US, Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiology as directed. Assists lead technologists with execution of the daily operation of the Diagnostic Imaging department.
Education & Licensure: Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R.T. ARRT) Post-primary certification required (preferably in area of responsibility) Additional certifications a plus Mammography, CT or MRI helpful but not required Current WI Radiographer license BLS required Experience: Thorough knowledge of radiographic procedures required Mammography, CT or MRI helpful, but not necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Thorough knowledge of radiographic procedures required Able to contribute to small group projects Work under general directions with little supervision Ability to understand oral and written instructions stated in medical and radiologic terms Use time efficiently maintaining department cleanliness and order Mechanical abilities are helpful Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times St. Croix Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
