Mammography technologist - Part time - Fox chase cancer center

• Performs medical mammograms in order to diagnose disease or trauma.
• Responsible for programming the machine for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion.
• Prepares, maintains and operates mammography equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following appropriate radiation safety guidelines.
• Performs and documents all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA.
• Required to work on Mobile Mammography Van, when needed, including some weekends.
• All requirements and responsibilities apply when assigned on van.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography required within 2 years from date of hire.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Non Degree Program Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program. Required

Experience 2 years experience in a Radiologic Technologist position Required 1 year experience in Mammography Preferred

Licenses Reg Technologist (R) (M) Required Mammo Quality Stand Act Req Required Basic Life Support Required
