Eastern Carolina Veterinary Medical Center in Wilmington, NC is hiring an experienced Veterinary Surgical Scrub Technician Assistant to join their outstanding Surgery team!

Compensation

$18 - $23/hr, based on experience and licensure.

Schedule

  • Full-Time,
  • Monday -
  • Friday, 9:00AM - 5:30PM. Overtime and on-call opportunities available!

ECVMC is seeking a Veterinary Surgical Scrub Technician Assistant (non-licensed) to join our busy, fast-paced Surgery Department. In this role, you'll work side-by-side with our Board-Certified Surgeons and Anesthesiologist, assisting with surgical prep, intraoperative support, and post-op care and cleanup. Our modern facility is equipped with advanced tools including CT, MRI, endoscopy, and arthroscopy, giving you the chance to grow and learn in a state-of-the-art setting. About You: An experienced scrub tech that thrives in an ever-changing environment, equipped to stay calm and knows how to react quickly during life-threatening circumstances. Position Responsibilities: Assist surgical technicians with pre-op, intra-op, and post-op tasks, communicate with the surgical team to ensure seamless care Maintain strict aseptic technique and knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments, ensure efficient prep and turnover of surgical suites Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least 2 years of veterinary experience (required) with a strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members, and a commitment to exceptional patient care. Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely.
