Prepare and safely administer prescribed oral medications and authorized PRN drugs to residents. Document medication administration and record vital signs as required under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Must be a certified Qualified Medication Aide in the State of Indiana and have completed a state-approved training program. A current health certificate or examination required by state agencies is also mandatory.
Qualified Medication Aides are valuable members of our health care team who work under the supervision of a licensed nurse to perform skilled nursing care tasks as assigned according to plan of care.
Annual Wage Scale: $40,560-$59,280
Westridge Healthcare Center is a skilled nursing facility located in Terre Haute, Indiana. Westridge Healthcare Center is seeking compassionate Qualified Medication Aides to become a part of our team where our primary goal is to provide exceptional care to our residents.
Westridge Healthcare Center is seeking Qualified Medication Aide to- Prepare and administer safely and document regularly prescribed oral medications to residents. Administer as allowed, oral PRN drugs when authorized by a licensed nurse. Understand that injectable medications must always be given by a licensed nurse. Demonstrate knowledge that the telephone or verbal orders may never be accepted by a QMA. Understand and demonstrate knowledge that appropriate vital signs will be taken and recorded as required before administering certain medications.
The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience: Must be certified as Qualified Medication Aide in the State of Indiana. Must complete a State approved training program in medication administration. Must possess a current health certificate/examination as required by State agencies. Must perform only those duties that were taught in the approved training program.
