This role supports deployment health screenings, chronic condition management, and preventive care, serving the active-duty military population in both clinical and field environments.
Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing Graduate of a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE Licensure/Registration:
Must meet clinical competency requirements per Service-specific credentialing standards Board Certification:
Certified in the required specialty by ANCC, AANP, or an approved national nursing certification board (e.g., NCBPNP, NCC) Certification:
U.S. Citizenship required Key Responsibilities
Deliver care within clinical privileges and based on current standards of practice Provide routine, acute, and chronic care to patients across all organ systems Perform health screenings and immunizations; manage deployment health readiness Respond to medical emergencies and document patient care accurately Comply with infection control and safety protocols Apply legal and ethical standards in all aspects of care Collaborate with line commanders and provide care both in the clinic and in the field Use military EMRs (e.g., AHLTA, CHCS, MHS GENESIS) for documentation Respond to and manage all assigned email and voicemail communications Clinical Duties
Conduct patient assessments, develop diagnoses, and create treatment plans Provide education on wellness, prevention, and chronic disease self-management Perform procedures and prescribe medications in accordance with privileges Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care Participate in training, in-service education, and performance improvement programs Communicate clearly with patients, families, and military healthcare teams Systems Knowledge (Preferred)
