Description

The Evening Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services during evening shift operations in a 7-on / 7-off schedule. This role supports centralized pharmacy distribution, clinical verification, and operational workflow, while also serving as a key resource for investigational drug management in collaboration with the Investigational Drug Services (IDS) team.

This position requires specialized training in handling, dispensing, and documentation of investigational agents in compliance with FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, and institutional policies.

Investigational Drug Services (IDS) Responsibilities

  • Prepare, dispense, and document investigational medications in accordance with:
  • Study protocols
  • Sponsor requirements
  • FDA and ICH-GCP guidelines
  • Maintain protocol adherence, including:
  • Correct patient randomization and blinding procedures
  • Dose preparation and accountability tracking
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of investigational products (including hazardous agents, if applicable)
  • Support study start-up and maintenance activities as needed
  • Collaborate with IDS pharmacists, study coordinators, and research teams to resolve protocol-related questions
