Provide clinical care and medication administration for adolescents in a residential mental health setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to monitor health status and respond to behavioral or medical crises.
Serve as a consistent clinical presence by assessing and responding to student health needs across a large, open campus with multiple residential homes Monitor vitals, administer medications, and track health status and progress Communicate with families and the care team by sharing updates and contributing to care decisions Ensure accuracy and compliance by documenting medications, including controlled substances, each shift Provide additional coverage, as needed, to support floor staff to maintain safe and consistent operations Respond to behavioral and medical situations using de-escalation and intervention training Observe, document, and report changes in mood, behavior, and overall health
Required Certifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri CPR Certification Must be prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of the onboarding process. Required Skills: Experience in medication administration and patient care Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and documentation standards Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking across a large campus, and responding safely and effectively during crisis situations. Preferred Experience: Bedside hospital experience Experience in diabetic care Experience in Psychiatric Nursing
