The Toledo Clinic's Nephrology Office located in Findlay Ohio is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. This position will mostly work in the Findlay Office and travel to the Bowling Green office as needed (approximately 4 days per month). Qualified candidates will have obtained the RMA/CMA/CCMA or be able to obtain such credential within 60 days of employment. The hours are Monday - Thursday (8:30-5:00) and Fridays (8:30-4:00).
Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

Duties: & Responsibilities:
assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.). 2. Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.). 3. Escorting patients to exam room. 4. Preparing exam rooms. 5. Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.). 6. Sterilizing and preparing instruments. 7. At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills. 8. Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments. 9. Follow up with lab work and/or xrays. 10. Administering injections. 11. Other duties as assigned.

Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA,CCMA or RMA)
Travel to different office locations is required.
• Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required.
• Clinical medical assisting experience preferred.
Requires a Medical Assisting degree or diploma and a valid RMA, CMA, or CCMA credential. Candidates must be able to travel between office locations and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
