Toledo Clinic's Neurology Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to provide both clinical and clerical support in a busy Adult Neurology Office located at 4235 Secor Rd, Toledo OH. The hours are Monday- Friday (8:00-5:00 or 9:00-5:30). Previous medical office experience is strongly preferred.
Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties.
Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.
Duties: & Responsibilities:
1) Escorting patients to exam room.
2) Assists providers with patient care.
3) Preparing exam rooms.
histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
5) Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
6) Various clerical duties (phones, schedule appointments)
7) At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
8) Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
9) Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
10) Administering injections.
11) Other duties as assigned.
Excellent interpersonal skills required.
Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA, CCMA, RMA)

Adheres to clinic’s policies and procedures.
• Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required.
• Clinical medical assisting experience preferred.
Candidates must hold a Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school and possess a valid credential such as RMA, CMA, or CCMA. Previous medical office experience is strongly preferred along with excellent interpersonal skills.
