About the role

The role involves performing crisis and specialized assessments and documenting services within electronic health records. The worker will also facilitate connections between clients and appropriate program staff as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Crosspoint Human Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Crisis Counselor to support individuals experiencing emotional distress, trauma, or life challenges.

In this vital role, you will provide immediate, empathetic, and professional intervention, helping individuals regain stability, safety, and hope during some of their most difficult moments.

Responsibilities and Duties: Duties include but are not limited to: Completing crisis assessments, specialized assessments, and additional forms in the electronic health record Documenting services in the electronic health record in a timely manner Facilitating linkage between individuals served and the appropriate Crosspoint program staff Acting as a member of the interdisciplinary team Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with alternating weekends 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related human services field.

One year of mental health experience is preferred.

Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule.

Requires a valid drivers license and proof of automobile insurance.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related human services field is required. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, with one year of mental health experience preferred.
