About the role

The specialist is responsible for selecting, training, and supporting Treatment Foster Care resource providers to ensure safe homes for children with unique needs. They partner with the Department of Social Services to enhance the lives of children seeking stable placements.

  • MO & surrounding communities
  • Pay: $43,888-$46,000 annually
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, flexible scheduling, 9am-5pm with after hour, weekend, and holiday on call rotation required
  • Job Summary
  • As the Treatment Foster Care (TFC) Specialist, their role is to carefully select, train, and continuously support TFC resource providers who possess the skills and dedication to offer safe and loving homes for children with unique needs.
  • By partnering with the Department of Social Services, Children’s Division, they are dedicated to enhancing the lives of children in search of stable TFC placements, providing them with the nurturing environment they deserve to thrive and flourish.

Education

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related human services from an accredited institution.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience working with children and families in the direct delivery of social services in a public or private

  • agency, preferably in the fields of foster care or adoption.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities
  • Critical think skills
  • Writing/documentation skills
  • Ability to manage time well and stay organized
  • Flexibility in working evenings/weekends
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Demonstrate flexibility
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook email.

Requirements
