About the role

Performs a wide variety of nursing care activities for medical-surgical and telemetry patients. Works under the general supervision of a registered nurse to ensure quality patient care.

Job Description

Performs a wide variety of nursing care activities for medical-surgical and telemetry patients under the general supervision of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school or Practical Nursing.
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted LPN license from NC or compact state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Satisfactory completion of Rhythm Interpretation Course.
  • CPI will be required within 3 months of hire.
  • ACLS will be required within 1 year after hire.
  • Required to demonstrate age-specific competency for patients, ranging from adult to geriatric.

Preferred

Nursing experience in an acute care hospital.

Experience

No experience required, but at least one year of acute care hospital nursing is strongly preferred.

Requirements

Requires a valid LPN license from NC or a compact state and graduation from an approved school of Practical Nursing. Must hold BLS certification and complete Rhythm Interpretation, CPI, and ACLS training.
