The pharmacist is responsible for assuring the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medications, while also reviewing orders to prevent drug-related problems and recommending formulary alternatives. They must compound and dispense medications, provide drug education, communicate with clinicians, and oversee technical staff assisting in medication preparation.
Candidates must possess a required Licensed Pharmacist credential from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and hold a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy. Three years of hospital experience is listed as an additional preference.

How you’ll make an impact in this role Ensure optimal patient safety by reviewing medication orders, identifying drug-related risks, and recommending evidence-based solutions and formulary alternatives. Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams, providing expert drug information and counseling to facilitate integrated patient care and improve health outcomes. Lead and mentor pharmacy technicians, overseeing the preparation and maintenance of medications to maintain workflow efficiency and quality standards. Prepare and dispense patient-specific medications with precision to guarantee accurate and timely care delivery.
Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
