The role involves providing medical services to patients in an assigned area, including evaluating and treating them using appropriate diagnostic and treatment skills. Responsibilities also include coordinating discharge planning, working to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care, accepting referrals, and potentially acting as an admitting, attending, or consulting physician for hospitalized patients.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree and hold a valid Physician MD/DO credential from the Texas Medical Board prior to the hire or transfer date. Board Certification in Neurology is also required for this position.
