Summary description of work

Heartland Family Service is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable licensed behavioral health professional to support the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes. This role leverages clinical expertise in mental health and substance use disorder treatment to ensure programs and departments consistently deliver high-quality, compliant, and person-centered services. The position partners closely with clinical, operational, and administrative teams to strengthen documentation quality, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement efforts that directly support positive outcomes for individuals and families served across the continuum of care.

Compensation

  • between $55,000 and $70,000 per year (salary is determined by total years of relevant experience)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Supports cross-department coordination related to quality, compliance and regulatory reporting.
  • Supports CCBHC readiness activities, including clinical record reviews, site visit preparation, staff coaching, and development of corrective action plans in response to findings.
  • Provide technical assistance and clinical guidance to staff regarding documentation requirements, including review of mental health and substance use disorder clinical documentation for medical necessity, treatment planning, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Apply clinical expertise to support collaboration with mental health and substance use treatment teams, operational leadership, and administrative staff to map workflows, standardize clinical processes, and align systems with regulatory and payer expectations.
