The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to plan and provide direct care to residents, planning, directing, and evaluating shift routines and personnel activities as the person in charge. Responsibilities include providing leadership in the assigned unit, ensuring personnel carry out assignments, and performing essential resident care functions like administering medications and treatments.
Candidates must possess current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Colorado and current CPR Certification, along with maintaining required Continuing Education Units. Experience in long-term care is preferred, and strong abilities in leadership, communication, and clinical competence using the nursing process are essential.

The Registered Nurse is to utilize the nursing process in planning and providing direct care to residents as assigned. The nurse will plan, direct and carry out shift routines in assigned nursing unit and observe, direct and evaluate the activities of personnel as the person “in charge” according to the Nurse Practice Act. Will assume “Building Charge” responsibilities as directed by the DON or Designee.
