The Pharmacy Technician will support pharmacists by accurately and efficiently preparing and dispensing medications, which includes processing prescriptions and compounding medications daily. Responsibilities also involve managing inventory, assisting patients with inquiries, and strictly adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
Candidates must be registered or licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nebraska before the start date, with active CPT-EXCPT, CPT-PTCB, or CPHT certification required within one year of licensure. Success in this role requires outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a professional, patient-focused demeanor.
Prepare, fill and distribute unit-dose drugs and performs medication exchange with nursing units. Will assist in the preparation of sterile intravenous admixtures under pharmacist supervision. Maintains the prescription files, answers phones and triages calls. Maintains adequate levels of drugs and records on the order-book items that fall below minimum level. Job Requirements Required: Registered/licensed Pharmacy Tech in the State of NE (https://dhhs.ne.gov/licensure/pages/pharmacy-technician.aspx) required prior to start date. Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing is required after one year from the registration/licensure date.
